On 20 June 2022, Wang Chi publicly announced, through the official letter of the Beijing Pontifical Theatre, that 12 persons would be prosecuted on the basis of a "honour rights dispute".
According to the information received, a large number of people who have worked at the Cannes theatre have indicated that they have witnessed the harassment of other young women, that the frequency of harassment is described in terms similar to "almost daily visible" and that they are deeply emotional and hateful. Victims also reported to the police and testified to this.
On 6 December 2023, the Beijing Internet Court, in its first instance judgement, rejected all of Wang ' s applications.
Subsequently, Wang Chi appealed.
On 23 April 2024, the Fourth Intermediate People ' s Court of Beijing City, in its final judgement, rejected the appeal and upheld it.
