In May 2022, several women said they had been verbally and behaviorally harassed by Wang, the founder of Beijing Penghao Theater, and disclosed that when Wang talked about his "life aesthetics", he said "you can reach orgasm without moving."
On June 20, 2022, Wang publicly announced through the official WeChat of Beijing Penghao Theater that he would sue 12 people on the grounds of "reputation disputes."
It is reported that a large number of people who have worked at Penghao Theater have said that they have witnessed him harassing other young women. When describing the frequency of harassment, they use terms similar to "can be seen almost every day", and they are deeply emotional and hateful. Some victims also called the police and testified about this.
On December 6, 2023, the Beijing Internet Court ruled in the first instance to reject all Wang's claims in accordance with the law.
Later, Wang filed an appeal.
On April 23, 2024, the Beijing No. 4 Intermediate People's Court made a final judgment in accordance with the law to reject the appeal and uphold the original judgment.
